When Dr. Ginsberg ran across 90 Degree Office Concepts’ website, he fell in love with our Athens Modern Reception Desk. At the time, we were having issues with our website communications. I remember taking the call. Dr. Ginsberg had a very specific vision for his new vision center (no pun intended). He wanted a look that was clean and modern—and, most importantly, he wanted a reception desk that would appear visually unique from the front window. He felt the design of his center represented a direct reflection of his products and services. The problem was, Dr. Ginsberg and his wife had no idea how to go about laying things out.
Once Dr. Ginsberg found out my company was in Fort Lauderdale, I offered to meet with him at his location to offer some assistance with layout, functional details, size, scale, and materials appropriate to his vision. I recall driving to Miami to meet with him and his wife. They both had extremely fine taste and a mindset for quality, but getting them to agree on the final details was time-consuming.
Reaching an agreement on placement, function, and supporting furniture was the main challenge. Fortunately, both were committed to the Athens Modern Reception Desk. With that design feature in place, they requested assistance with supporting tables, examination furniture, workbenches, and office furniture. The areas were small—and, as with most smaller workspaces, they required an exact fit.
90 Degree Office Concepts designed coordinating tables that we felt worked well visually with the Athens. We measured out Intracoastal’s space and helped with recommendations for size, fit, and walk space. At the end of the day, we were successful in giving them the vision they had in mind.
